Decide Your Money — A personal finance method that steps in before the purchase, not after the statement. Built with AI.

Context

A personal finance method built on five rules. A ten second filter that runs before the purchase, with tests like the Full Price Test and the Today/Tomorrow Test. Around it: a shareable decision tool, ready to send letters, an affiliate programme and a companies portal.

The workflow

Designed and built in code, with AI as the build partner. No design file, no specification, no handover between design and development. The product itself was what got reviewed and changed.

What changed

  • Design and development were the same step.
  • Every change went straight into the running product.
  • One person covered method, copy, design and build.

Result

Method, decision tool and four business modules in production.

37 days of effort across 75 active days. 554 commits.

What shipped

  • The full site, responsive, with purchases through Stripe.
  • An application to follow the method, with exercises for each of the five rules and individual tracking per user.
  • An email sequence that runs after signup.
  • Two versions of that sequence, one for people who downloaded the free version and one for people who paid for the method.
  • Comparison pages that put the method side by side with other services offering the same thing, built for search and growth.
